On Friday 3rd June we held a special theatre event at Flixton Girl’s School where Mikron Theatre Company performed the funny, heartfelt and tender story of sisters Rose and Lizzie who become munitions workers at the outbreak of the Great War.
With over 120 tickets sold we needed cake and wow did our members bake!
The Tombola stall was a huge success on the night. Lots of interesting prizes and some surprises in there as well!
Refreshments set up. The red wine went well!
We had many other Greater Manchester WI’s join us for the evening. Salford Angels in the house!
The Mikron Theatre Company are a touring group who live on a barge during the summer months travelling to locations to perform including mills, allotments & schools.
And then it’s all packed into this van at the end!
