Choir Every Monday at Flixton Girls’ School £15 per month by Direct Debit. New members welcome!

Next performance at the Salvation Army in Sale on Friday 3rd March 7.45pm.   Friends & Family welcome, no ticket necessary, although a small donation for coffee & biscuit will be welcome

Craft Club Last Wednesday of the month 7 – 9pm at Lily’s Eden Square. Bring along your current project or ask about learning to knit or crochet.  Tea & cake usually eaten as well!!

We are also starting to plan ahead for The Cheshire Show (June 2017)

Darts Club After an amazing first meet up, the newly formed Darts Club will have its second practice on Tuesday 28th February 7pm—9pm,  upstairs at The Bird i’th Hand.  Then meeting on the 14th & 28th March, 11th & 25th April, and 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month thereafter.

Yoga Workshop Thursday 23rd February 8.30pm—9.30pm,  at Showcase Dance Studio on Railway Road. This is a free workshop but bookable as numbers are limited.  £5 deposit is required to reserve your place, which will be returned to you if you attend.   All equipment will be provided, so you only need to bring yourselves & make sure you are wearing stretchy, comfortable clothing.  If you wish you can take cosy socks & blanket for the relaxation section of the session, although some blankets will be available.

Car Care Workshop Tuesday 7th March at Kwik Fit in Sale. This is a free workshop but bookable as numbers are limited.  A £5 deposit is required to reserve your place, this will be returned to you if you attend.

Science Event Thursday 16th March at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Centre, Davyhulme To celebrate Science Week (11th-19th March) we will be holding a science event investigating the  Science behind food & drink.  Thanks for Emma who has  secured a grant for this event.  This event is currently open to member only.

Jane Austen’s “Persuasion” at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, the evening of 25th May.  Stage level seats have been reserved for the ‘preview performance’ which is half price.  If you are interested in attending this performance, payment is to be made in full at the February Meeting.

Big WI-kender – a camping weekend 30 Sept – 2 Oct 2017 for Greater Manchester WIs with high ropes, yoga, craft classes, walks etc.  More details can be found on their website www.bigwikender.wix.com/weekend

woManchester Statue Fundraising Dinner – Andrew Simcock, our March 2016 speaker, is organising a fundraiser at the Radisson Blu Edwardian on Peter Street on Thurs 9 March 2017.  This was formerly the Free Trade Hall where the suffragettes first started disrupting meetings in the run up to the 1906 elections.
